Surf Life Saving Northern Region's Club Development Manual has
been produced to assist lifesaving club personnel in creating clubs
that are better managed, more sustainable and provide good quality
services to their members and the wider community while working
towards the strategy of 'Growing Stronger Clubs'.
The Club Development Manual has come about as a perceived need
by Surf Life Saving Northern Region to assist local lifesaving
clubs. The manual serves as a resource to assist clubs to develop
their systems and processes to gain growth and sustainability for
the long term.
The manual is intended as a reference source for lifesaving
clubs and provides easy to follow information, tips, checklists and
templates covering the key areas of developing a lifesaving club.
Each chapter addresses a specific theme and provides content and
strategies that clubs can begin implementing right away.
This is designed to provide members with a framework that
showcases all opportunities within Surf Life Saving. It provides
clear pathways and identifies what will be delivered at each level.
It was established for easy use by all members and to support Surf
Life Savings future aspirations.
