Welcome to the Surf Life Saving Northern Region
website!
Northern region is the largest of the Surf Life Saving
regions in New Zealand. It covers the area of Auckland to
the Far North, and as far south as Raglan on the west
coast. Staff based in Auckland support the 17 clubs in the
region.
Lifeguards across the Northern Region have spent nearly 80,000
hours patrolling our beaches this summer. They have undertaken 619
rescues, conducted nearly 730 first aid treatments, taken part in
130 searches and completed 36,648 preventative actions.
